MEMORIE IN PASSI
Nella serie Memorie in Passi (2014/2015), “l’artista , Stefania Zorzi, rievoca i luoghi dove da bambina ha vissuto auto ritraendosi con una serie di autoscatti mentre rivive le sensazioni trascorse nella casa di famiglia. Sale le scale fino al terrazzo, che fu luogo d’incontro e di rilevanza emotiva, sulle orme di una ricostruzione “storica” fatta attraverso il recupero di vecchie fotografie. Ri-calcando le scene già trascorse nell’infanzia , Stefania adulta cammina con leggerezza sulla traccia dei ricordi. Nella sequenza gli stati d’animo passati e gli attuali si fondono: il timore e allo stesso tempo la curiosità infantile di oltrepassare soglie, il tempo sospeso sulla scala, i passi e le pause che anticipano la melodia silenziosa per la danza finale lo stupore della notte assaporata sul terrazzo. Visioni tra sogno , curiosità e presenze rievocate.”

MEMORIES IN STEPS
Between 2014 and 2015, in a series of self-portraits, the artist creates to life places and memories from her childhood. Throughout the photos, she once again experiences the feelings she felt when she was still living with her family.
She climbs up the stairs to the terrace, which was a meeting point of emotional importance, as old photos suggest.
So in the absence of concrete own memories she walks on a trail which is an "historical" reconstruction, virtually forming a background of the story.
In the footsteps of her memory, the viewer follows the now adult Stefania through the scenes she has already spent in childhood.
As a result, past and present moods intermingle:
Fear and at the same time the - still - childlike curiosity to exceed thresholds. Dream, curiosity and presence evoke old and new visions.
The time remaining on the stairs, the steps and breaks, anticipate the quiet melody for the last dance: the miracle of the night on the terrace like a catharsis. Being able to leave the past for a new future.

Stefania Zorzi nasce il 4 Aprile 1985 a Gavardo; vive e lavora in Italia e in Austria.
Nel 2010 ottiene la Laurea di specializzazione in Arti Visive all’Accademia di Belle Arti L.A.B.A. di Brescia. Tra il 2008 e il 2009 frequenta , tramite il progetto Erasmus, la Facultad de Bellas Artes di Cuenca (Spagna).
La ricerca artistica di Stefania Zorzi ha come punto centrale il corpo che si relaziona a se stesso, allo spazio e alla materia. Le opere diventano scorci di vita e spinta ad una continua metamorfosi del sé. Gli autoscatti raccontano un vissuto quotidiano che, reinterpretato, porta alla rivelazione della solitudine e della difficoltà di costruire un’identità stabile nell’era contemporanea. C’è un’attenzione continua sul rapporto tra l’uomo e gli spazi, che siano costruiti o naturali, e su come il nostro passaggio segni ogni cosa, tramite energie ed oggetti. Nelle sue fotografie c’è il tentativo d’imprimere un ulteriore segno di passaggio e di relazione tra la presenza umana e il luogo che lo circonda.

Stefania Zorzi was born on April 4, 1985, in Gavardo; she lives and works in Italy and in Austria.
In 2010, she graduated in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts L.A.B.A. of Brescia. Between 2008 and 2009 she attended, during the Erasmus program, the Facultad de Bellas Artes of Cuenca (Spain).
The artistic research of Stefania Zorzi focuses on the connections between body, space and matter. Her works are glimpses of life and the constant metamorphosis of the self. The self-portraits reveal a daily life that, reinterpreted, leads to the discovery of loneliness and the difficulties encountered in establishing one’s own identity in the contemporary era. The main focus is on the relationship between human and space, whether be it artificial or natural, and how each of our experiences and steps marks everything in the surroundings, through energy and objects. In her photographs there is an attempt to give a further sign of such transitions and relationships between human presence and the environment surrounding her.
