Suk Kyoung Choi + Mark Nazemi | Corner Monster
Bio
Suk Kyoung Choi is an artist conducting research through art in interactive virtual narrative environments. Choi is currently a Master of Arts candidate at the School of Interactive Arts & Technology at Simon Fraser University and is associated with the Art Performance Research Group under the direction of Thecla Schiphorst. Choi’s background ranges widely in the visual and media arts. She has conducted studies of multitouch user interface technologies for performance, visualization, and exhibition. Currently her research examines affective response to narrative structures mediated by immersive recontextualization. Her work has been presented in Korea and Canada.
Mark Nazemi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts. He is currently a Master of Arts candidate at the School of Interactive Arts & Technology at Simon Fraser University. His research interests are Vibroacoustics & user-driven non-linear sound compositions for meditation, and creating Poetic Immersive Environments & visual performances. Mark is also part of the Transforming Pain project team under the supervision of Dr. Diane Gromala. In addition, he is the founder of Stylus College of Music & Sound Technology and teaches sound design and audio engineering.
