Where Do We Go Now! Rosângela Rennó

Rosângela Rennó

Rosângela Rennó (1962, Belo Horizonte, Brazil) holds a degree in Architecture by the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and in Arts by Escola Guignard, both from Belo Horizonte. She obtained a Doctorate in Arts at Escola de Comunicacao e Artes da Universidade de Sao Paulo. She has been exhibiting internationally in some of the most renowned public museums, such as Museo Nacional Reina Sofia (Spain), Arts Institute of Chicago (USA), Tate Modern (UK), Daros LatinAmerica (Switzerland), and Stedelijk Museum (The Netherlands). She has also participated in several collective exhibitions, such as, Bienal Internacional de Sao Paulo (24th in 1994 and 29th in 2010), Bienal de Artes Visuais do Mercosul (1th in 1997 and 7th in 2009), 50th Venice Biennial in 1993, and in the 6th Havana Biennial (1997). In 2013 she was awarded the Paris Photo – Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Award 2012 – First PhotoBook and Photobook of the Year; in 2010 she was Guggenheim NY fellow.
