Sandeep Biswas is a New Delhi based photographer.
He has exhibited in 8 solo and over numerous group exhibitions including photography and Art festivals in India and internationally.
He has received awards and fellowships including The Japan Foundation Fellowship ( Associate visiting fellow-Kyoto University of the Arts)-2001-2002, India Habitat Center Fellowship for photography-2005 and The Senior artist Fellowship by The Ministry of Culture in India-2017.
He a member of the Jury selecting state awards for photography for Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Literature. Snadeep Biswas was an examiner with Pearl Academy and School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
Sandeep is a practicing photographer, and is a visiting faculty member at various institutes including the NID ( Madhya Pradesh), UID (Gandhinagar),the NIFT ( New Delhi), Jamia Millia Islamia ( New Delhi), IGNCA ( New Delhi), Pearl Academy ( New Delhi) and Chang’an University ( Xi’an, China). He has conducted workshops in India and The USA.
He was recently named one of The Alexia 2024 Student Mentor Honorees, by the Alexia Grant, Syracuse, USA.
Sandeep has published a number of books including “ India’s Story of Triumph over Polio “ published by UNICEF/ Ministry of health in India, "Jal Jungle Jameen-Living Tradition of Chhattisgarh" Authored by Dr. Alka Pande/published by Must Art and Fairs and" Festivals of Rajasthan" - A Visual Documentary published by the Sheevam Group.
Sandeep is a curator with VASA Project, a global online center for media studies based out of America & Europe and Galeria Quarentena located in Chile.
