Brendan
Bannon is
a Western
New York
photojournalist
currently
based in
Nairobi,
Kenya. Bannon's
recent work
from Africa
covers a
variety
of ongoing
refugee
crises in
Kenya, Somalia,
South Sudan,
Yemen, Tanzania
and Namibia.
His complex
and compassionate
view of
these challenging
situations
reveals
the complexity
of life
as it is
being lived
in camps
in these
countries.
Bannon
has also
covered
a variety
of issues
for
the New
York Times,
Christian
Science
Monitor,
the Daily
Telegraph
and the
Guardian
and various
humanitarian
organizations
including
Doctors
Without
Borders,
UNICEF and
Care International.
Bannon's
work has
also been
exhibited
in Buffalo
at CEPA
Gallery
and at the
United Nations
headquarters
in New York,
Geneva,
Switzerland,
and Nairobi,
Kenya. His
educational
projects
have been
exhibited
in Romania,
Washington,
D.C., Namibia
and Yemen.
